Extinction 2: The Winds of Change is an upcoming American horror film set to be released in the future. The film stars the same main cast from the last film. It is the sequel to Extinction. It is currently unknown as to who will produce it. The film is currently scheduled to be released in 2017.
Plot[]
The film's main premise is that a mysterious force is causing the whole Southern area of the USA to be pelted with what people are calling a 'super disaster'. A tidal wave has affected coastal cities, killing a few people but otherwise, was not as dangerous. Weathermen across Texas are seeing what looks like a hurricane, earthquake and tornadoes coming in a week.
The town of Arkista, TX will be affected the most and will cause about 75% of property destruction and only the most well-built of houses will survive. The whole town has been evacuated aside from a couple dozen. It just so happens that most of the ones left in the town are taking the abandonment as a godsend and are using this opportunity to cause hell and wreak havoc.
Jeff's mother left an emergency system in his house that will help with his current quest. His house is 100% fortified and ready but he doesn't want to watch helpless people die. With the help of his friends, he turns his mother's emergency system into a shelter. Rebecca will watch the monitors that Lauren and Buzz set up around the small town as Steve occasionally helps Jeff bring home survivors to make the storm pass.
